the sunshine underground, underground. 20.11.

the sun might be gone, but the sunshine underground are back with a new ep and play an intimate in-store show at crash records tomorrow.

after a summer of festivals, a few small gigs (think the library in leeds, and escobar in wakefield), a secret show at the cockpit (was i supposed to say that?) and god knows what else along the way, the sunshine underground released their latest offering, everything, right now, two weeks ago on november 3rd. a five-track ep, it features two previously unreleased tracks, two reworked demos and a little taste of their new album (due february ‘10) in the form of ‘coming to save you’.

true to form, the boys haven’t forgotten their roots and - call it an early christmas present if you like - they’re treating the lovely people of leeds to a special, intimate show in-store at crash records tomorrow, saturday 21st. previously crash’s dance music department, the basement’s sat empty for months waiting on its recent makeover. with its walls replastered and repainted, and everything cleared out, tomorrow evening looks like to be a great way to christen it and, we hope, the start of many more similar dos to come.

and when i say intimate, i mean it. with tickets limited to 25 pairs only, it’s a first come first served affair and to get yours you’ll have to get there early. tickets can be collected from 5pm and the show starts at 7pm.

you can buy the sunshine underground’s new ep here.

crash records is located at 35 the headrow, ls1 6pu.

this should be fun.. (oh, come down to this after. it should be equally awesome!)
